Sightings July/August 2004

Dr. Brian Simpson will present courses in economics based on the works of Ayn Rand and George Reisman. These courses, offered through National University, are available now online from any location and will be taught on campus next year. The first undergraduate course in economics and philosophy includes The Virtue of Selfishness and Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal as required reading material. There are also two courses in market process economics based on George Reisman's book Capitalism: A Treatise on Economics.

Dr. Simpson is an assistant professor in the School of Business and Information Management at National University. He obtained his Ph.D. in economics from George Mason University and was a student of Reisman. He has been studying Objectivism for more than twelve years.
