Nicholas Otani
Age 58

Passed away at unexpectedly at his home in the Spokane Valley Tuesday, April 8th, 2008. Nick was a long time resident of the valley, attended Central Valley High School and was an Eagle Scout. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam war and spent several years in Germany both in the military and later as a civilian teaching college level courses to US Servicemen stationed there.

Nick was a regular substitute teacher for the valley schools and maintained an active and provocative internet site dedicated to the discussion of his Neo-Objectivism philosophical ideas.

He is survived by his mother, Frieda; his sister Penny Timbie and nephew Matthew Timbie of Westport, MA; his son William and former wife Marie Louise both of whom reside in Germany; an aunt,Yoniko Nakako from Seattle with numerous other relatives scattered throughout the United States.

A private service will be held.

One last time,

Bis bald

I didn't post a lot on his ezboard site, but I always checked it out to see how he was doing and if he had any pearls of wisdom. I am a big fan of Nick's work and it can be read all throughout this forum and many others. Here is a link to his EZboard site:
