Course Description:
A screening of this rarely seen film, made in 1941, starring Robert Preston ("The Music Man"). Preceding the screening will be a talk by Duncan Scott (co-restorer of the film version of We the Living) discussing the possible reasons Rand disowned the film and how this first adaptation of Rand's fiction to the big screen gave her good reasons for her hard-line stance in the later negotiations for movie versions of The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged.
