August Advocacy Training in California
Senior Fellow William Thomas held an Effective Communication Workshop over the weekend of August 15-17 in Aptos, California. He was invited to offer this intensive weekend of training in public speaking and the advocacy of ideas by Joanne and Michael Shaw, TOC sponsors and founders of Freedom 21 Santa Cruz. Freedom 21 Santa Cruz is an activist organization fighting against collectivism and anti-freedom "sustainable development" programs in the Monterey Bay area. Its Web site is www.freedom21santacruz.net. Thomas worked with seven members of the organization, coaching them on presentation and rhetorical techniques for getting their message across to a broader audience and helping them firm up the logical strength of their appeals.
